Eight new branches of Regions Bank will be opened by the end of this year and in the first half of next year. Those who live in St. Ann will be able to travel to these nearby locations in addition to the one in the city.

The cost for each branch will be between $3 million and $7 million.

Jeremy King, a spokesperson for the bank, said the locations of the new branches was determined on the ability of the bank to reach more people and build on its existing network. The largest number of new branches to be built will be in the St. Louis area with other growing regions for future expansion to be Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta.

Among the services at the featured at the new branches will be ATM video banking with live, two-way videos connecting bankers with customers. A design where there are no customers lines will be at some of the branches. This feature directs customers immediately to a banker who can answer their questions.

Mike Hart, Midwest area president for Regions, said that although online services are becoming popular customers still like branch offices for advice and solutions.

Banks such as this one could turn to brochure printing to inform customers of unique features being offered. In this case it could also provide more details about the new branches that will be opened.
