Cynthia Mendes was recently named Employee of the Year for 2017 by the Mary Black Health System-Spartanburg.

An employee from Mary Black is awarded this highest honor every year. Hospital peers nominate employees for the award among the hundreds of employees in the organization based on their contributions on the job, their professionalism, and their commitment to patient care.

Market CEO, Sean Dardeau, said that a top priority for everyone at Mary Black is providing the highest quality care to patients. Outstanding employees are recognized each month for demonstrating the qualities and characteristics the organization promotes. At the end of the year, there are a number employees who have best reflected the patient-centered culture of the hospital and it is from this group of individuals that the employee of the year is selected.

Mendes stood out for the support she provides to members of the team and her dedication to the patients. Dardeau says she always has a positive attitude, is willing to help and answer all questions, and does whatever is needed to get any job done. Mendes works in the Emergency Room as the Patient Access Supervisor.

Poster printing companies can be used to create posters to recognize such employees as Mendes, who set an example to meet and exceed the needs of patients and their families.
