Sunset Boulevard to dawn on Lewisville

October 18, 2012 by

The popular play ‘Sunset Boulevard’ will be appearing in Lewisville as from tomorrow, presented by the Greater Lewisville Community Theatre. This is a magnificent story about faded glory and truly unfulfilled ambition involving the famous silent movie star, Norma Desmond. The music in this play is by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton.

Directed by Chris Robinson, all Norma Desmond wants in this play is to return to the big screen after having being discarded by the Hollywood scene with the invention of talking movies, or ‘talkies’. In her mind, however, she now believes her glamour has all but disappeared. Fortunately, she meets a screen-writer from Hollywood named Joe Gillis under dramatic circumstances to create a relationship that is both volatile and passionate, although it leads to a surprising and tragic end.

This show has reserved seating only, as well as seating for people with disabilities. A machine has been set up to take calls for reserved seating and people with special requirements are requested to leave a detailed message.

Poster printing, brochure printing, and flyer printing may have been used to promote this wonderful performance to residents in the region. Admission is $18 per person and everyone is welcome.
