The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston is holding the Sunday Family Zone & Studio on March 11th, 18th and 25th from 1 to 4 pm. Undoubtedly several Houston residents have viewed this poster printing of the event. This Sunday Family Zone & Studio is covering “Color Harmonies: Exploring the Abstract Paintings of Jules Olitski.”

Due to the Sunday Family Zone & Studio being held on three consecutive Sundays, visitors will need to keep notice of signs to direct them to the gallery holding the Family Zone on each respective day.

The purpose of the Sunday Family Zone & Studio is to educate families providing an enriching family-focused event. The Sunday Family Zone & Studio provides interactive activities where family members can sit on pillows and create their own works of art by sketching and participating in other forms of art.

The upcoming Sunday Family Zone & Studio features the artwork of Jules Olitski and as such, the museum is offering for families to use the same materials used by Jules Olitski.

Also offered at the museum are special investigations for the whole family to take part in. The investigations involve current original works of art.

Families also have the opportunity to read books, play games and create art projects. For the little ones, Sunday Storytime starts at 1:30 pm. The Sunday Family Zone & Studio is made complete with an art lesson from one of the museum’s teaching artist guides. Getting out with the family has never been so stimulating.

The Museum of Fine Arts is located at 1001 Bissonnet in Houston.
