The 2012 Heights Holiday Home Tour will take place November 30 and December 1 in the Houston Heights neighborhood. The event is hosted by the Houston Heights Association. The show will include tours of six Houston Heights unique homes. Knowledgeable guides will discuss the architectural style, as well as the rich history involved in this area.

The homes are expected to be decorated in extravagant holiday themes complete with magnificent light displays. Houston Heights is an attraction in itself, with thousands of tourists visiting the area annually. The streets are lined with trees and feature antique shops, boutiques, coffee shops, quaint eateries, art galleries, and top-of-the-line restaurants.

One of the oldest neighborhoods in Houston, it has become a focal point for professional artists offering their unique work on a regular basis.

A shuttle service will be free during the tour with stops located at the Fire Station on 12th Street and Yale as well as at each house.

The Houston Heights Association Holiday Home Tour generates money for the maintenance of Donovan Park, Marmion Park, and the Heights Blvd. Esplanade park. Also, proceeds assist the association in its many civic contributions, including operation and maintaining of the Heights Fire Station, which is a historic attraction. Additionally, the association supports schools with scholarships and provides baskets of food for people in need during the holiday season.

Printing companies frequently assist event organizers and managers in preparation of marketing materials for similar events. Flyer printing is a common and effective method of promoting community events. They can be placed throughout the region, as well as distributed manually.
