Halloween horror park back for 25th season

September 13, 2013 by

A local staple of Houston Halloween terror is returning very soon. Horror theme park ScreamWorld will be returning for its 25th year, and the owners expect over 30,000 visitors during the 2013 Halloween season.

Comprising several fright-inducing environments, ScreamWorld is closer to a theme festival than a traditional haunted house. Thrill-seekers and horror junkies will experience five distinct themed areas. Through Skull Cave, they’ll be shocked by areas like the Voodoo Swamp and Mummy Hall. Jake’s Slaughterhouse presents a grisly echo of a mid-century slaughterhouse. The Edge of Darkness offers a hospital horror show, moving from a hospital room, through the boiler room, and ending the blood-soaked morgue. Outdoor attractions Maze of Maniacs and the Zombie Graveyard provide brave (or foolish) visitors with the haunting experience of being hunted by monstrous creatures.

Opening on September 20, ScreamWorld will be open Thursdays through Sundays until October 20. From October 24 through November 2, the park will be open every night of the week. This year, fans have the option of buying the Fanatics Package, which includes a VIP Fast Pass, season pass, T-shirt, and an invitation the closing night cast party.

ScreamWorld is located at 2225 N. Sam Houston Pkwy West. More information on hours, discount ticket dates, and ‘All U Can Scream’ nights is available on the ScreamWorld website.

While ScreamWorld is a popular attraction in Houston, it never hurts to do additional promoting. For the 25th anniversary, promotional materials highlighting the momentous and terrifying occasion would be a snap to create with the assistance of a printing company in the area.
