Dessert lovers on Cloud 10 at new shop

Ice cream fans and fine food aficionados alike can be excited about the opening of a new ice cream parlor in Rice Village.

The Cloud 10 Creamery brand may already be familiar to frequenters of Houston’s fine restaurants and events. Local caterers and restaurants have been ordering the gourmet desserts since March 2012.

Demand for Cloud 10’s unique flavors grew so high that the next step for the company was to open its own storefront, and held its grand opening on Wednesday, October 2. Locals were so excited for opening day that around 400 people submitted their RSVP for the celebration.

The popularity of the brand won’t seem surprising to anyone familiar with the flavors offered at the new shop. Ten brand new flavors will be created for every season. This Autumn, flavors include Maple Butter, Gingersnap, Pumpkin and Cranberry, Poached Pear Sorbet. Additionally, a regular menu features 10 original flavors, from the familiar Vanilla Bean, to the surprising Nutella and Marshmallow, to the slightly bizarre Lime and Ceylon Cinnamon.

Customers with creative cravings can also request a custom flavor for the price of $25 per half gallon. Each flavor can be eaten by the scoop, combined into ice cream sandwiches and cakes, mixed into milkshakes, and even added to the top of a slice of pie or tart.

An exciting new venture like a gourmet ice cream parlor can create a wide variety of promotional opportunities. A local printing company would be able to whip up a delightful selection of high-quality flyers, menus, and even postcards for a community mailing campaign that would bring in customers from all over the area.
