Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music comes to Fort Worth

The world-famous show, Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music, is coming to Forth Worth in just a couple of weeks’ time.

The Ridglea Theatre, the venue for the event, opened in December, 1950 and recently underwent a major renovation. It is well known for the 70-foot stone tower in the front part of the building. It was added to the National Registry in 2011. The Ridglea Theatre is located on Camp Bowie Boulevard.

The musical show consists of a screening of the classic movie in which Julie Andrews starred. There will be subtitles so the audience can sing along to all of the songs made famous in the original production.

Part of the fun during the Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music event is a fancy dress competition. Attendees coming in a fancy dress costume will be invited up on stage to have an opportunity to show off their creativity and talents in front of the audience.

Local printing companies frequently work with community theaters in producing merchandising and promotional materials such as poster printing. Posters provide an economical method of promoting an event as they are generally printed on one side and can easily be hung throughout a region. A professional poster attracts attention quickly, thus creating interest and ideally increasing ticket sales.

Catalog printing is also a frequent request for print companies, as they can be distributed in advance of the event or at the time of admission.
