U.S. car show to debut at FC Dallas Stadium

The Texas Dream Cruise will premiere at FC Dallas Stadium this June, as it attempts to become the largest car show in the United States that takes place in a single day.

Co-founders Rob Mashigian and Rick Fletcher have delayed the debut of the first car show so that it will be the best it possibly can be. The pair has received support from city leaders and the community in the organization of the event, with permission to host the car show at the FC Dallas Stadium being granted in 2012.

The idea is based on the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, which attracts over a million people to the city every year. Once Mashigian decided to adopt the concept in Frisco, he found that people were also keen on the idea and offered support. His partner, Fletcher, has involvement with a number of non-profit organizations in the area. The duo has a 10-year plan to increase the number of attendees, eventually hoping to attract up to 400,000.

Clubs and car shows have already been contacted to ensure a good turnout. The local brochure printers may already be involved so that car clubs will know what to expect at the Texas Dream Cruise.

According to Mashigian, all kinds of cars will be welcome at the show, which has been scheduled for June 29, with free admission for all. Funding will be sought from booths and sponsors. Children’s activities, educational activities, and music will also be provided on the day.
