Employees at a mortgage lending and finance company raised $102,396 over the Christmas period to give to charities located in three US states. CashCall, Inc., which is a consumer finance and mortgage lender, has raised funds every year for the last five years and has surpassed expectations this year.

The newest branch of the company, located close to Dallas, raised $2,339.98, which was given to the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). Mary’s kitchen in Orange County California received most of the donations and is an organization which is run completely by volunteers. Mary’s Kitchen received $93,156, which will help them to continue providing services to homeless people in the area, including clothing handouts, hot food, packed lunches, and showers. All the money donated to the non-profit organization is used to provide services for the homeless.

The Las Vegas employees of CashCall raised $6,900 which helped the St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility of Las Vegas to continue providing hot food to adults and children in a safe environment all year round. The company generously matched the total of employees’ donations during a variety of events. Some of the fundraisers included selling holiday decorations, silent auctions, a ‘pie in the face’ contest, and raffles. A poker tournament was also organized, attracting more than 100 players.

Stationery printers may be called on to include details of the charity events in future company publications to promote the fundraising activities of the company. The total raised is double that generated in 2011, which has raised the bar for 2013.
