Calendars are marked and formal attire is ready in Conroe in preparation for the annual black and white Mardi Gras Ball. The event will take place on February 9 at La Torretta Lake Resort, beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Johnny Nicholas Band consisting of former members of the ‘Asleep at the Wheel’ band will provide the music for the gala event. A special raffle will take place, with the grand prize being a seven-day stay at a luxurious Costa Rica condo property. Only 250 raffle tickets are being sold so for those wishing to participate, so tickets should be bought quickly prior to the raffle. Being present is not a requirement of winner eligibility.

Entertainment groups often use printing companies to prepare marketing materials for events of this type. Stationery printing is an important process for the production of invitations, while catalog printing is normally included in the printing services provided for elegant events. Catalogs include the event and venue information, sponsors, key participants and nominated guests for various awards. They are distributed at either the time of arrival or placed at tables and make a nice memento for attendees.

A presentation of King and Queen will take place in the Court during the cocktail hour. This is a fun event met with great anticipation. Other recognition segments will occur later in the evening.

The event venue reminds attendees that it is a black and white ball, meaning each person must be dressed in that formal color combination. To purchase tickets for this gala, or for more information, visit the event website or call 936-760-2787.
