Weekend of performing arts dancing into Mesa

July 13, 2013 by

Dance lovers from Mesa and other nearby communities are invited to attend a three-day extravaganza. Early next month, the Arizona Dance Classic will be arriving at the city’s Marriott Hotel. The organizers of this performing arts event have likely been using printing services to advertise the festivities with flyers, brochures, and posters.

The Dance Classic will include a variety of competitions. Amateur and expert dancers alike will show off their skills as they perform ballroom, country-western, and swing routines. They will receive critiques from a panel of professional judges. Those deemed the top performers in each category will earn awards during one of several ceremonies.

Attendees will also have a chance to take advantage of a number of workshops. Seasoned instructors will offer demonstrations and help them perfect their footwork in various dancing styles. There will be ample time for informal social dancing as well.

The event will run from Friday, August 2 through Sunday, August 4. It will last from morning until evening on each day, and there will be a special dinner show on the Saturday night of the festival.

The performances and activities at the Dance Classic will be open to dancers and spectators of all ages. Ticket prices will start at $15 per person. There is still time for dancers to register for the contests.

The Mesa Marriott is located at 200 North Centennial Way. Those planning to attend or hoping to compete may call (480) 491-2393 to purchase tickets or receive more detailed information about the event schedule.
