Art and craft whizzes may take an interest in the ‘Best Bead Show’, which will be held in early September at the Kino Veterans Memorial Community Center located at 2805 E Ajo Way in Tucson, Arizona. Class times during the day vary, so please check the schedule.

This annual event is open daily to the local public and offers those attending the opportunity to learn about the history of beads, how beads are used today, and courses and classes that will show guests how to make various beaded items.

Throughout the expo, guests will be able to conduct business transactions with all the vendors and wholesalers in attendance. There will also be a number of bead artisans on hand with custom-created items for sale to the public. Some of the courses available on this weekend include ‘Foolin Around’, which is a beginners’ course designed to teach the skills needed to construct hoops, ‘Bella Rose’, which is a class to assist newcomers on stitching techniques on bracelets, and an intermediate course on the basics of choosing the correct metal for embossing, entitled ‘Metal Embossing with a Sizzex’. The event has a number of other seminars and classes available throughout the weekend, which are listed online and range in price.

The show will take place from Friday, September 7 to Sunday, September 9, and may have been the target of poster printing and flyer printing for promotional campagins in recent weeks. Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome, although the instructional classes do have fees. Additional information can be obtained by visiting the Best Bead Show website.
