Spring Plant Sale at the Desert Botanical Gardens

February 29, 2012 by

On Saturday, March 17th, and Sunday, March 18th, 2012 the Desert Botanical Gardens situated at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix, Arizona will be hosting their annual Spring Plant Sale. This event takes place on Saturday from 7 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Desert Botanical Gardens features the widest variety of adaptable desert plans in the area. This event will feature several horticulturalists, professional landscapers, and master gardeners, all available to answer any questions you may have on desert plants and varieties. There will be a selection of new plant varieties available for gardeners to learn about, plus this year there will be a Sunshine and Spice Food Truck on premise to feed those who plan to spend the day browsing the large garden area.

Special guest for this event is Cathy Babcock, the columnist who writes “Know your Desert Garden” in the home section of the Arizona Republic. You will have the opportunity to meet her and ask her for advice on plants. Besides these features there will be a used book sale with a large selection of books about gardening that would add to any gardener’s library. Retail vendors selling gardening accessories and a variety of pottery will be on hand, as well as a farmer’s market featuring locally grown food items.

The local printing company has finished the flyer printing, brochure printing, and the catalogue printing, so everyone attending can leave with additional information. This event has no admission charge and everyone is welcome to attend. For additional information, please call 480-941-1225.
