Country music launch party coming to Tempe venue

Country music lovers from the greater Phoenix area will be in for a treat at the end of this month.

The weekend after Thanksgiving, the KMLE Country Thunder Launch Fest will be kicking off at the Tempe Center for the Arts Amphitheater. Banner printing services are almost certainly going to be in greater demand as the venue prepares to host thousands of guests.

The event will feature live music from Chris Janson, who co-wrote the hit ‘Truck Yeah’ for singer Tim McGraw. Janson will perform several of his own songs, including ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ and ‘Better I Don’t’.

A number of Arizona-based groups will also take the stage to compete in a battle of the bands. The winner of this contest will earn a spot in next year’s Country Thunder Music Festival, which is set to arrive in Florence, Arizona in April.

Those who attend the Launch Fest will be able to purchase discount tickets for the larger 2014 event, as well as win VIP tickets. In addition, they will learn which established country stars have signed on to perform at the music festival. Past participants have included Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Thompson Square, and the Eli Young Band.

This month’s festivities will include a big-screen showing of the football game between Tempe’s own Arizona State and the University of Arizona. Attendees will also have a chance to meet NASCAR racer Taylor Cuzick.

The Country Thunder Launch Fest will begin at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 30. Tickets will cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Those seeking further information may call (480) 350-2829.
