Get wise on reptiles

June 30, 2012 by

On Monday, July 9, CC Reptiles of Arizona will make an appearance at the Civic Center Library located at 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd. in Scottsdale, Arizona. This reptilian event will begin at 2:00 pm.

Guests to this library-based session will learn much about reptiles, especially when it comes to the environments and habitats in which they live, the life cycles and husbandry of each animal, and the role that they play within the ecosystem. They will also learn how to properly handle a reptile and how the animals reproduce.

Part of this event will be based on the anatomy of the animal and which of the reptiles are venomous and non-venomous. Visitors will also learn which of the stories about reptiles are myths and which are not. There will be discussion on whether reptiles make good pets and, as a key part of this session, participants will learn about endangered species and how to be aware of them. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to handle these amazing local reptiles if they wish to do so.

CC Reptiles is all about education and preservation of reptiles. It studies reptile behavior, habitat, preservation, and the safe training of volunteers who work at its facility. CC Reptiles believes that conservation and preservation begins with education; therefore it regularly visits libraries and schools in the area.

Flyer printing may have been used to promote this event to the patrons and the public. For more information, please visit CC Reptiles’ website or call the Civic Center Library at 480-312-7323.
