The Celebrities/Heroes Step against Teen Dating Violence III will take place tomorrow, July 28, at the Talking Stick Resort located at 9800 E. Indian Bend Road on the Salt River Reservation just outside of Scottsdale, Arizona. This fundraising dinner and show will begin at 5:00 pm.

This dinner and show is to raise funds for Kaity’s Way Organization, which is a dating violence awareness group. This fundraising event is based on the television show “Dancing with the Stars” and will include special guests, Kristin Anderson of Fox 10 News, Carino Maldonado of New Frequency Band, Bob Rodriquez of Arizona Scorpions Basketball Coach, Leeann Dearing of Go Daddy Girl, and Channel 3 anchor Javier Soto.

Kaity’s Way is a non-profit group run by Bobbi and Ric Sudberry, who lost their daughter, Kaity, after she was shot to death on Jan. 28th, 2008 in a neighbor’s yard by a man she had been dating. The man, who had abused Kaity throughout her relationship, then shot himself. Kaity’s Way helps people, especially teens, learn to recognize and understand dating violence, in the hopes to put an end to it. Now recognized as a National Organization for Victim Assistance, they visit schools and local groups with a number of presentations.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to promote this event to the public and teens in the community and area. Admission is $50 for dinner and show or just $35 for the show only. For more information, please visit the Kaity’s Way website or call 602-740-2734.
