A buzz about Scottsdale this weekend

Over the course of this weekend, the Arizona Honey Festival is being celebrated at the El Pedregal, which is an outdoor market. During this festival, guests will learn all about the health benefits of honey, as well as the history of honey in this region through food, demonstrations, and tastings.

The Arizona Honey Festival is presented by the Boulders Resort and is the premier of this amazing festival. While attending the festival being held at the resorts distinct marketplace, guests will enjoy and celebrate what honey has to offer. This festive event will have live music, tasty samplings, activities, seminars on how to cooking with honey, spa treatments, honey-fried bread, and cocktails made from honey.

All demonstrations are courtesy of the Arizona Bee Keepers Association, and the feature event of this festival is the five-course honey dinner that is being served with mead, honey, wines. This is a family event with all kinds of children’s activities, plus there is a ‘honey-do’ golf tournament. There is also a special honey ‘getaway’ package up for grabs. Performers include Chicken & Waffles, Jimmy Pines and Washboard Jere, and Barefoot & Pregnant.

Poster printing may have been a method used to promote this festival, which is free to attend, although there is a charge for various foods, wines, and packages.
