Concerted efforts to entertain in Scottsdale

December 15, 2012 by

The ‘Scottsdale Philharmonic Holiday Concert’ is the 2nd concert being performed this season and features a ‘Messiah’ coming and singing along for the audience. Attendees are asked to sign aloud with the orchestra to help celebrate the holiday season. This is a great family outing for sharing some special time and fun together.

Selected soloists from throughout the valley will perform with the orchestra and there will be performances of ‘A Christmas Festival’, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’, and ‘Fantasia on Greensleeves’. This evening’s performance is known as ‘Concert Two’ and will be a special evening with many dearly loved holiday songs performed.

The Scottsdale Philharmonic consists of many local musicians and is a non-profit organization where members play because they love to do so. Concerts often happen at schools, libraries, and many other locations in and around this community. The organization is funded solely by patrons and friends and was established to develop awareness, preservation, and appreciation for classical music within the community.

Poster printing, perhaps carried out by local print companies, may have been among the techniques used to share the news about this special concert with the public. Admission is free and it is on a first come, first serve basis. The Scottsdale Philharmonic Holiday Concert will be happening tomorrow, December 16, beginning at 4:00 pm at the Saguaro High School Auditorium located at 6250 N. 82nd Street in Scottsdale, arizona.
