Chandler welcomes teens to expo

July 2, 2012 by

On Monday, July 9, a Teen Expo will be held at the Chandler Community in Chandler, Arizona. This event will take place between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

This is the second annual Teen Expo being hosted by the City of Chandler and is designed to benefit the Leaders-In-Training program. This program provides Chandler teenagers with the opportunity to talk to business leaders, organizations, and various colleges and universities. At this event, there will be a DJ, a variety of foods to sample, and many prizes available for those who participate.

Aimed at teens between 14 and 18, the expo will offer participants the opportunity to start building on their future careers. The teens will be provided with the chance to have one-on-one communication with leading representatives from all sectors of business, educational facilities, and service clubs and groups. There will be a number of employers present at this event who will be looking for students interested in entering into their field of expertise. Many schools will be on hand to answer questions about enrollment in their establishments, tuition fees, expenses the student can expect to incur, and much more. There will also be a session on preparing a resume and skills required for interviewing.

Local print companies may have printed the posters and flyers used to advertise this event at the various educational facilities and teen hangouts in the area. Admission to this event is free for all. For more information, please visit the Chandler Community Center website or call the Center’s office at 480-782-2727.
