On Wednesday, July 4, Casa Grande, Arizona will be celebrating Independence Day at a number of locations throughout the community, organized by the City of Casa Grande Parks and Recreation department. These events will run from 10:00 am until after the fireworks display at dark.

The day kicks off with family fun at the Palm Island Family Aquatics Park located at 1115 N. Brown Avenue. During this swim period, there will be a number of games and activities, with fees reduced to under a dollar for kids in some cases.

After the event, head over to Carr McNatt Park where you will find a number of organized activities and games. This park has a 120-foot water slide, BBQ fills, picnic tables, five ramadas, a skate park, children’s playground, and much more. During the day, there will be food and drinks available, although guests may wish to bring their own hamper and have a late lunch or picnic dinner.

When guests are done playing in the park, it will be time to head over to the Paul Mason Sportsplex located at 2525 N. Pinal Avenue. Here, there will be great food, games, and the traditional Fourth of July Celebration. This event starts at 7:00 pm with relay races, games, and bouncers for the whole family. Then, at 9:00 pm or as dusk falls, the Fireworks show begins and is free to see.

Poster printing and flyer printing may have been used to advertise the day’s festivities to the community. Fees are as listed above. For more information, visit the Casa Grande Parks and Recreation Department website or call 520-421-8677.
