Casa Grande gearing up for annual Street Fair/Car and Bike Show

January 7, 2013 by

In under two weeks’ time, downtown Casa Grande will be hosting its 13th annual Street Fair/Car and Bike Show. The festivities will take place between Second Street and Florence Street. Admission will be free and all area residents, including families with small children, are encouraged to attend. Flyer printing has no doubt been on the rise as representatives of the city’s Main Street Program have worked to promote this community tradition.

The street fair will run on Saturday, January 19 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Sunday, January 20 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. More than 200 exhibitors will be present and will be selling paintings, jewelry, pottery, and sculptures, among other forms of art and handicrafts.

The car and bike show will take place on the Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Dozens of automobiles and motorcycles will be showcased and receive prizes. On the Sunday, members of the public will be invited to attend a “show and shine” event between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm, during which they will be able to get a closer look at the cars and bikes on the premises and socialize with the owners.

The Street Fair/Car and Bike Show has a number of local sponsors, including the Henry Brown string of car dealerships and The Foothills Bank. The event will feature live entertainment, two Budweiser Beer Gardens, two food courts and an area specifically designed for children.
