Southgate rocks out for charity

Residents in Southgate and the surrounding areas are getting ready for the Southgate House Revival’s Rock N’ Revival for a Cure. The large music festival features a wide variety of local talent all performing to support a good cause.

Organized by local band The Grove, the idea was first inspired by the Forsthoefel brothers, who are members of the band whose father was diagnosed with brain cancer. This experience highlighted how much money is still needed to help research into curing brain tumors. They decided to start a large-scale benefit show that would raise funds for the University of Cincinnati Brain Tumor Center.

Featuring over 20 bands on three different stages, the Rock N’ Revival is one of the largest such events in the area. Other than The Grove, notable local groups such as Lullaby Crash, Zebras in Public, Sundae Drives, and Here Come Here will be performing at the event. Alongside promotional products and other merchandising for the bands, visitors can also pay a little extra to enjoy meal catered by Eli’s BBQ.

The Rock N’ Revival for a Cure will be held on March 4 starting at 5:00 pm at the Southgate House Revival, located at 111 E. 6th St. Admission costs $10 a person and tickets can be bought at the door or online. Anyone interested in more info should visit the website.
