Car show raises funds for underprivileged children

The 22nd annual Bunny Run Car Show is returning to Jackson for three days in just over a month’s time, presented by the Jackson Rod and Custom Car Club.

There are expected to be over 450 vehicles on display, all of which are 30 years old or older. With street rods, custom cars, truck, and motorcycles among the autos on show, those who register their vehicle will be eligible to win the $500 grand prize. Fees to register are $25 until April 4 and $30 on the day of the show.

In addition to the cars on display, there will be a swap meet for car parts and vendors. Guests can also take part in an Easter hat contest, an Easter egg hunt, games, a barbeque dinner, and a 50/50 raffle. There will also be door prizes awarded.

Proceeds from the show will go to the Underprivileged Children’s Christmas Shopping Spree, for which organizers will also accept donations at the gate.

Vendors can purchase space from $50 for a booth up to $250 to display a trailer. Some of them may wish to advertise their participation in the show and may contact Jackson printing companies to provide them with materials, such as posters and flyers.

The Bunny Run Car Show will take place at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park from April 19 to 21 from 9:00 am – 9:00 pm each day. To find out more information about the show, contact Murry Exum at 731-427-1677.
