Annual gala helps support the Jackson Symphony

December 17, 2013 by

The Crystal Ball is returning this January for an annual event acting as a fundraiser for the Jackson Symphony.

The evening is set to feature a champagne reception, a sit-down dinner, and dancing. It will give members of the general public a chance to celebrate the Jackson Symphony with like-minded friends and neighbors; no doubt some Symphony members will also be on hand to meet the public.

Senior Symphony Ambassadors will be honored during the event; these are members of the Jackson Symphony League who volunteer to act as ticket takers, ushers, helpers for patrons, and to hand out programs before performances. The gala event will also let the public recognize what the Symphony does in terms of outreach and educational programs serving the entire community. The proceeds for the event will go to support such programs as the youth orchestra, a summer music camp, and string instruction.

Sponsorships are also available for local businesses to show their support too. They may also help to spread the word by letting their customers know about the ball and the work done by the Symphony.

This popular event is widely advertised in the Jackson area. Often, local printing companies are asked to help by providing products such as flyer to be distributed throughout the community.

The Crystal Ball is taking place at the Carl Perkins Civic Canter on January 25 from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Tickets are $100. For more information about the event, call 731-427-6440.
