Wal-Mart has plenty in store in Spartanburg

October 24, 2013 by

The second Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market in South Carolina opened just yesterday in Spartanburg on Wade Hampton Blvd. No doubt the company is using banner printing throughout the community to let people know about what is going on in the store’s first week, and the prospect of additional jobs in the area as a result might encourage locals to seek business card printing services.

The new store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The items available for purchase will include general merchandise, groceries and fresh produce, paper goods, deli items, hardware, products for pets, and pharmacy services. It will also provide financial services and have the Wal-Mart Site-to-Store capability that enables customers to go online and order products, then have them shipped to the location in Greenville to be picked up there.

According to their web site, Wal-Mart has 10,900 stores in 27 countries around the world and web sites for e-commerce in 10 countries. It employs 2.2 million people globally and, during its fiscal year 2013, had sales of approximately $466bn. The site also highlights that company believes in giving back to the community, and its Foundation gave more than $1bn in in-kind and cash contributions around the world last year.

Following yesterday’s 7:30 am ribbon cutting, attention will now turn to this Saturday, October 26. A public meeting will take place during which customers can meet the new store manager, Will Gonzalez, at 3:00 pm, who will be on hand to answer any questions.
