Christmas Child Golf Tournament to be held at Mystic Golf

December 13, 2012 by

This Saturday, December 15, Mystical Golf will be holding its ninth annual Christmas Child Golf Tournament at the Wizard, Man-O-War, and Witch golf courses on Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mystical Golf is no doubt using poster printing to let the public know that this event is occurring, as proceeds from the Tournament go to the children and teenagers at the Lighthouse Care Center located in Conway, South Carolina, as well as the one in Augusta, Georgia.

Since 2003, the event has raised a grand total of $114,000, with $14,000 of that having been brought in last year. Children between the ages of 12 and 17 who suffer from behavioral disorders are cared for by the Lighthouse facilities. Funds received during the holiday season serve as rewards for good conduct and enable the children to go bowling, to attend football games at Carolina College, and to receive a new pair of shoes of their own choice, among many other prizes.

According to President and CEO of Mystic Golf, Claude Pardue, the goal of the Christmas Child Golf Tournament is to bring joy to kids in need during the holiday season. In the past, the community has been extremely supportive with this event, and Pardue expects the same show of support with this year’s event.

The Man-O-War and Wizard golf courses are the ones on which this year’s event will be played, with the style of the event being Captain’s Format. Prizes will be awarded in various categories and there will be raffle tickets available for purchase.
