Tom Brent’s signature sandwich to be unveiled at Harris Teeter

March 2, 2012 by

On Thursday, March 8, Harris Teeter, based in Matthews, North Carolina, will join Tim Brent, a forward from the Carolina Hurricanes, to present Brent’s Signature Sub Sandwich, which he personally designed at all Fresh Foods Market Sandwich Shops in the Raleigh area. Teeter is using printing services to print flyers and posters announcing the event so as to draw as many people as possible to its stores in that day.

Brent’s sandwich is called the “Hespeler Hoagie” and is made of a wheat sub roll filled with grilled chicken and provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and banana peppers and topped with ranch dressing. The price is $3.99 for the sandwich alone. For an additional dollar, customers can make it a lunch pack that includes a choice of Lemonade, Harris Teeter Sweet Tea or Unsweet Tea and either a Macadamia Nut, Chocolate Chunk, Cranberry Raisin or Oatmeal Raisin cookie.

The sandwich will be available between the hours of 5:30 and 6:30 in the evening, at which time Brent will also be appearing at the Crescent Commons Harris Teeter in Cary, North Carolina, to introduce the Signature Sub Sandwich to shoppers and fans. Brent also plans to sign autographs during his appearance.

The Hespeler Hoagie is one of many sandwiches and wraps that are made-to-order on a daily basis at all Harris Teeter Fresh Foods Markets and is the final Signature Sub of the season from the Carolina Hurricanes.

Harris Teeter is the 24th largest grocery chain store in the United States with 26 stores located in Virginia, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Florida. Sales for last year were $4.29 billion.
