Fundraiser showcases cooking skills of local chefs

The Men Can Cook! celebration is taking place next month in Greensboro. The event is a fundraiser for the Building the Futures of Women campaign of the Women’s Resource Center.

There will be over 50 male community chefs who will be showing off their cooking skills and treating guests to samples of their dishes. Among them will be Ron Johnson, Doug Copeland, and John Bast. There will also be an Iron Chef-style cook-off during the evening.

In addition to the cooking demonstrations, guests can enjoy a silent auction and musical entertainment provided by the Low Key Band.

Sponsorships are available for $1,250 (for a table) up to $7,500 (for a corporate sponsor). Sponsors will be recognized at the event and on the Women’s Resource Center website.

This popular event raised over $100,000 last year and is expected to do the same or better this year. To ensure as many people as possible know about such fundraisers, organizers often contact Houston stationery printers to provide printed advertisement.

The Men Can Cook! Celebration will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center on October 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Tickets are $50 for adults and $10 for children aged 10 and under. To learn more about this event, or about the Building the Futures of Women campaign, call 336-275-6090.
