January 13, 2012 by

While January doesn’t look to be an especially busy month for the chamber, there are still major events taking place that local professionals can be a part of.

On the 19th January, there’s an orientation for new members although all members of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce are allowed to visit. The chamber president and CEO will be present along with other key people that freshly minted members will want to know.

With an 8:30 am-9:30 am timeframe, this short but informative event will show attendees all they need to know about what it means to be a member of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce. Beyond the basic tour, this orientation will also serve as a bit of a workshop for individuals who are looking to get more out their memberships this year.

Next up is Chamber U. Presented by the qualified Rob Wheeler, this event is currently being referred to as Exhibits & Events Trade Show Strategies for Today’s Economy. Also starting off at 8:30 am and ending at 9:30 am, this workshop is sure to leave Durham professionals with several strategies and techniques to think about.

Taken from the chamber website:

Topics include:
-Planning and budgeting guidelines
