Sandy Ridge Elementary to put on American Girl fashion show this spring

The Sandy Ridge Elementary school in Waxhaw, located to the south of Charlotte, will be jumping into Spring with an American Girl Fashion Show fundraising event this April.

The American Girl doll company sponsors a handful of these fashion shows each year across the country to help various organizations, schools, and other groups raise funds. The event also helps the famous doll company get its products out there in front of people and into the market. This year, the Sandy Ridge Elementary school was selected as the location of one of the company’s shows.

Fundraising activities and other events in and around Charlotte are likely to utilize the printing services of local print companies to announce the event to the public and provide other printing needs. Banner printing and poster printing are often used at such events, as is flyer printing to get word out about the fundraiser.

American Girl dolls each represent various eras of American history, such as Carolina – an American Girl doll who was a young girl during the war of 1812. The girls will all march down the runway while sporting the same attire as their accompanying doll. Each doll (and girl, of course) will have multiple outfits and turns on the runway.

The fashion show will take place April 13 and 14, and tickets are $40. In addition to the show, raffles will be held for various treats, such as pedicure packages and American Girl doll accessories. There will even be a raffle for a trip to chicago to visit the American Girl store.
