Driver’s license offices to be opened on Saturdays

March 4, 2013 by

As of this week, driver’s license offices in west Charlotte will have Saturday hours in addition to their regular weekday hours added to the schedule.

Offices will now be open on Saturdays from 8:00 am until noon and will offer the majority of regular driver’s license services. Road tests will also be available on Saturdays.

The addition of working hours is an effort by the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles to make it simpler for motorists to conduct any business they may need to do at the driver’s license office, as the regular weekday hours may make it difficult for some because of jobs or other obligations.

In addition to west Charlotte Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) offices, those in north Raleigh and Greenville have also added Saturday hours. Other DMV offices throughout North Carolina are expected to follow in the next few months.

Changes in hours of operation or other aspects of a business will likely require the printing services of local print companies. Stationery printing, business card printing , and the like are sure to be needed to reflect changes. Additionally, brochure printers may be needed to change information on pamphlets and other informational material.

Additional DMV offices across North Carolina are expected to announce extended hours in the months to come. The next DMV offices scheduled to offer Saturday operating hours are in south Fayetteville, south Durham, and north Charlotte. Offices in those areas will begin offering extended hours on April 6.
