The Links for Lupus Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 27, and will help to provide support services and education about lupus. The disease affects one in about 185 people, and the event has brought in $341,000 for the cause over the years. This will mark the twelfth year of making a difference for those individuals living with lupus.

Registration for a single golfer will cost $200, while a team consisting of four players will have a $700 participation fee. All of the players in the tournament will receive beverages while playing, an official tournament gift, complimentary team photograph, a golfer goodie bag, lunch, and an awards dinner. Various gift certificates will be presented to foursomes coming in first place through third place. Print companies may be called upon for flyer printing and other promotional materials

To register for the tournament, golfers can either submit a registration online or download and print their form to mail to the Piedmont Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America. Entry fees and forms must be turned in by August 17 and donations will also be accepted with the registration, whether completed online or by mail.

The tournament takes place at the Cedarwood Country Club, located at 4100 Pineville-Matthews Road in Charlotte, and will begin at 11:00 am with practice and lunch. At 12:15 pm, the official welcome to the attendees will occur and then, at 12:30 pm, will be the shotgun start of the event. The golfers will enjoy an awards dinner at approximately 5:30 pm.
