Charlotte goes high-tech for expo

January 10, 2014 by

This month, technology leaders from business, government, nonprofit, and educational sectors will gather for a luncheon to celebrate 2013’s accomplishments and set goals for the coming year.

During its annual meeting and tech expo, the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) Expo will feature a keynote presentation entitled ‘Outlook for IT 2014’. The tentative agenda includes registration at 10:30 am and lunch at noon. One of the presenters, Michael Smith, the VP of Research for Gartner, will give a technology trend ‘forecast.’ At 12:20 pm, there will be a NCTA Business Meeting, keynote presentations and a question and answer session.

There are also sponsorship opportunities ranging from $1,000 to $7,500. Benefits for sponsors include having their company logo placed in event promotional materials, along with on the event page. Sponsors will also have access to event activities including a post-conference talk with keynote speakers.

Print companies in Charlotte have likely been busy making sponsors’ promotional banners for the event. Glossy posters could be used to display the agenda. Brochure printers, meanwhile, may have been utilized to make handouts that summarize the notable accomplishments in technology for the year.

NCTA’s Annual Meeting and Tech Expo will take place on January 31 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel located at 222 East Third Street in Charlotte. Registration is $115 for NCTA members and only $75 for those who register before January 16. The cost is $150 for non-members. Registration is non-refundable, except if the event is canceled. Call (919) 856-0393 for more information.
