SAS success sparks new buildings in Cary

October 10, 2012 by

Computer-software giant SAS is expanding its operations at its global headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. This month, the company announced plans to add two new buildings to its substantial holdings in Cary, for a total office space of 650 units. The grand opening for the world’s leading privately held software development company is scheduled for 2014.

In the highly competitive software market, it can be tough to get ahead, but SAS continues to dominate. Sales were up 11% in 2011, for a total of close to $3 billion in annual revenue. The number of employees continues to rise, with an increase of 6.2% last year. It has more than 13,000 employees and a third of them are based in Cary, and will continue to do so when the expansion plans are complete.

Printing companies can work with firms like SAS to develop a marketing strategy for the increased business. Creative and compelling catalog printing that captures the audience can be used to advertise existing and brand new products. Informative, attractive brochure and flyer printing can be used to promote products and events. Address changes on stationery printing can be updated and newly-designed business card printing can be used for new and existing personnel. A whole range of services can be undertaken by printing companies familiar with the business scene in Cary.

Expansion plans like this can have a snowball effect for the local economy, bringing in direct employment revenue, construction sales, and offshoots, such as increased residential and commercial development.
