Snellville to go Mexican soon

Two brand new restaurants are set to come to Snellville. Both Mexican, it will fire up the food scene in the city, no doubt pleasing many fans of hot, spicy, and flavorsome food.

It is understood that both restaurants will open on Scenic Highway, with the plans and talks with city officials for both believed to be at quite an advanced stage.

The plans for Cabana Grill, which trades as Taco Cabana, have already been approved by the city council, according to council officer Jon Davis. The planning and development director for the city said:

“We’re ready to move ahead whenever they wish to come in and get moving.”

The restaurant is planned to be located at the Lowes shopping mall, and will introduce a new concept for the brand, a spokesperson has said. This is understood to offer a different style and different food than patrons of the chain are already familiar with.

There is presently just one Taco Cabana in Georgia.

The plans for the Chipotle restaurant are a little less advanced, with an architect due to submit them shortly.

They will also include plans for demolition and construction, as it is understood the restaurant will replace the Marble Slab building within the Home Depot mall.

This is directly opposite the location of the Cabana restaurant, so the banner and poster printing competition will be an interesting watch between the two.

When built, it will become the sixth Chipotle restaurant in Gwinnett County, with there being dozens of sites across the whole of Georgia.
