The posters have been printed, the leaflets have been handed out, and the lights are most certainly on as Savannah kicks off its holiday season. Print services are likely to be in demand for quite some time to come too.

As of Friday, November 23, the Savannah Harbor Holiday Festival of Lights has arrived, and it is an event expected to attract thousands. Presented by The Savannah Harbor Foundation in association with some of the area’s biggest supporters, it is hoped the event will become a long-running tradition.

The festival is being presented at the Grand Prize of America Track on Hutchinson Island and this “twinkling wonderland” will offer an awful lot to light up everybody’s night.

More than 50 holiday-related displays, all lit-up, are on show. Representing a veritable galaxy of lights, it should be an illuminating experience.

There is a good deal more to see and do than the lights though. There will also be barrels of fun taking place in the Grand Prize Park Arena. Including a host of tempting foods and drinks supplied by local traders, alongside many activities for kids and adults alike, it is set to be a popular visit through the holiday season.

Highlights of the event include the Staples Safari, complete with a living nativity, a petting zoo, pony and camel rides, and a safari tent with a whole host of stars from TV.

All proceeds raised at the event, which runs through New Year’s Eve, will be given to agencies helping disadvantaged youngsters.
