Sandy Springs showroom to sell McLaren supercars

Atlanta has become the 11th city in the U.S. to put brand McLaren on sale.

Confirming his firm is to launch the iconic British brand on the forecourts, the founder of Motorcars of Georgia, Eric Gregory, said:

“We’ve been the Lamborghini dealer since 2002, putting us at the forefront of exotic cars.

“We represented Lotus, then Lamborghini, in 2010 added Aston Martin and when we added Aston, McLaren was just starting to put together a really exclusive dealer network and I’ve been in communication with McLaren since then.”

Motorcars of Georgia will sell a number of models through the deal from its Sandy Springs showroom.

The first to be offered will be several versions of the 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider.

The stuff that many teenage boys’ poster printing dreams are made of, the car is likely to have a ticket price of upwards of $265,000. It is the first production automobile to be built by the marque since its F1 car stunned the world.

Powered with a twin turbo engine, it can hit zero to 60 mph in just over three seconds. It will no doubt make stunning reading when the customer brochure printing run about the car has finished.

Saying the McLaren / Motorcars of Georgia partnership is the perfect fit, the general manager of the showroom, Brandon Saszi, said:

“They have the most winning heritage in F1 racing history. The Spiders just add to their prestige.”

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Saszi added that it is McLaren’s racing heritage that makes the brand so special.
