Atlanta Final Four needs more volunteers

The Final Four, due to be held in Atlanta Georgia, is looking for more volunteers to help the event be a success.

The NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship will take place in April 2013 at the Georgia Dome. Around half the required number of volunteers has been received, but still more are needed to make up the expected 2,000 volunteers.

Around 100,000 visitors are expected to arrive at the airport in Atlanta and will be greeted by volunteers during the Final Four tournament. The executive director of the organizing committee, Sharon Goldmacher, is responsible for securing sufficient volunteers to ensure that all visitors are made to feel welcome in the city.

Volunteers are also made to feel part of the event, coming from all areas of town and being integrated into the event. They will cover all areas involved in the event, from the concert stage used for the Big Dance at Centennial Olympic park to Bracket Town’s World Congress Center. Volunteers will also be placed at the Georgia Dome and at hotels in the downtown area so that they can answer questions from visitors.

Kwanza Hall, a city councilman, hopes that volunteers will be proud to be a part of the Final Four, have a strong customer focus, and want to help others. Local flyer printing and poster printing services may be required to get word out and recruit more volunteers to ensure that the event has all the assistance it needs.
