Expo presents eco-friendly disaster preparation

The Eco-Friendly Prepper Expo is taking place in Orland for two days in this month.

The expo will be presenting information on how to prepare for any disaster while making sure everything is environmentally sustainable. The show will feature over 80 vendors, a raffle, classes, and demonstrations. Guests can even tour a bomb shelter.

The classes taking place will have such topics as Hydroponic Gardening, Emergency Essential Oils, Solar Ovens, and a Suture and Stitch class. Producers of the TV show ‘Doomsday Preppers’ will also be holding a casting call during the expo.

Exhibitors and vendors can rent space at the event for $525 and up. Likely products that will be sold by vendors will include medical supplies, alternative energy systems, hydroponic towers, hemp clothing, heirloom seeds and anything else needed to be self-sustaining in case of a major disaster or failure.

This expo is bound to attract interested people from all over the area, including nearby Winter Park. The organizers are probably investing in services such as brochure and flyer printing to help spread the word throughout the Orlando area. Flyers, for example, are an effective and inexpensive way to advertise any event due to their flexibility in distribution.

The Eco-Friendly Prepper Expo will take place at the International Palms Resort and Convention Center from August 10 to 11 from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm each day. Admission is $7 per day or $10 for both days. Those who require more information can call 407-536-6322.
