Local area businesses and professionals receive Athena Awards

Towards the end of last month, three exceptional women in the local community of West Palm Beach, Florida received the Athena Award for 2012 at a special reception.

The recipients for this year were Jane Kreusler-Walsh, Pamela M. Rauch, and Kristin Calder, who were recognized for their business, their individual achievements, and as a young professional respectively. Claiming these prestigious awards has no doubt enabled these women and their companies to use business card printing to add this distinction to their company and names.

According to the Chair of the Chamber of Commerce for the Palm Beaches, Michelle Diffenderfer, the Athena Awards recognize those women in the area who are truly inspiring and excel in their professions, make a difference in the community, and take the time to serve as mentors to others in their field. They are role models for the community and demonstrate top-notch leadership.

The Athena Awards are made possible by sponsorships from several local businesses and organizations, including SWS/Sun Recycling, Wells Fargo, Squire, CityPlace, Southwest Airlines, South Florida Fair, Toshiba Business Solutions of Florida, and The Palm Beach Post. The host for the ceremonies was the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.

Dr. Linda Cartlidge, who is the principal of Suncoast Community High School, which has been rated for the past eight years one of the ten best high schools in America, was the guest speaker for the yearly event and there was also a reception hosted by local professionals.
