The city of Vero Beach will be the place to be for fans of all sorts of vehicles this October, since both the Vero Beach Air Show and the Touch a Truck Festival are happening during the month.

The airshow is taking place on the first weekend of October, and will feature aerobatic airplane shows, a car show, tours of aircraft, a kids’ zone, and plenty of food. Among the day’s events will be the Tin Stix of Dynamite pyrotechnic show and the Geico Skytypers, a squadron of six vintage World War Two planes. There will also be a performance of the FlashFire Jet Truck. Merchants and non-profit organizations will be on hand as well.

It will all take place at Vero Beach Municipal Airport from October 5 to 6. Admission is $13 for adults, $10 for veterans, and $9 for children, and VIP tickets are also available for $55. For more information, visit the event website.

The next week, the 5th annual Touch a Truck Family Festival will feature hands-on exhibits of trucks, fire engines, and other professional large vehicles. There will also be children’s activities and food vendors. Proceeds go to support Childcare Resources of Indian River.

The festival is being held at the Indian County Fairground on October 12 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Tickets are $5 or free for children aged 3 and under. Call 773-405-7650 for more information.

Vero Beach print companies have probably been very busy providing the organizers of each event with flyers for advertising.
