Showcase your art in Tampa

June 4, 2012 by

“Handmade in America” will be showing at the Singing Stone Gallery from July 4 to September. The exhibit is dedicated to American arts and crafts and to those who create it. An opening reception will take place on July 4.

This is a juried fine art and craft exhibition where each artist can submit three pieces before June 20. Each piece of work must be handmade and family-friendly. Artists who are chosen to take place in the exhibit receive 80 percent of the sale price of any artwork which they sell.

Artists will be selling work in a variety of mediums, including jewelry, photography, paintings, glass, fiber, wood, ceramics, metals, and mixed media. The exhibit will be a perfect opportunity for artists and craftspeople to let the public know what they have to offer. The artists can work with Tampa catalog printing companies to create a high quality catalog, highlighting their past work and showing what else is available for purchase.

Catalogs are very inexpensive to create but are a popular freebie which people like to pick up at exhibits. Of course, they can also result in sales for the artist. The catalog can be placed either at the entrance to the gallery or on the table next to the featured arts and crafts. They could also arrange for business card printing. A business card can be included with any purchase and will help to spread the artists name beyond the exhibit.

It is sometimes difficult for unknown artists to exhibit their works in galleries, so Handmade in America is a great opportunity that should not be passed up.
