Learn how to get the most out of networking

The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce is presenting the seminar Return on Relationships on December 19 from 8:30-9:30 am. The seminar will take place every other month and will teach those in attendance “how to get the most out of the networking opportunities at Chamber events.” Tickets are $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members.

The seminar will be led by Clint W. Babcock of Sandler Training. He will help you how to get the best out of any networking situation. This event should help you learn:

• How to answer the question “What do you do?”
• How to comfortably introduce yourself to a stranger
• How to build a relationship with a Chamber membership
• How to effectively end a conversation
• How to arrange for a further meeting or follow up phone call

Networking is one of the most important things you can do to ensure that your business will be a success. A lot of business is done through social and professional networking events, such as the many events presented monthly by the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. While arranging for extra business card printing is a great first step towards networking, you also need to know how you can use those business cards to create a network. It is hard to walk that line between relationship building and hard selling; seminars such as this will help you understand the difference and help you to get the most out of networking opportunities.
