Motorcycle festival returns to Plant City for another season

September 23, 2017 by

The 15th year of the Plant City Bike Fest is kicking off next month downtown. It is a presentation of the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.

The festival takes place four times a year: in October, December, February, and May, and is a bike show and competition. Motorcycle owners compete for prizes in eight separate categories that include Harley, Stock, and Vintage/Antique. The first and second place in each category wins a prize, with trophies also awarded for Best of Show and People’s Choice. Registration is $10 per class, but a donation of nonperishable food allows for one free class registration.

There will plenty of fun activities, including music from DJ Iceman and the Rock Street Band. Full Throttle’s MC Mongo will be making an appearance too.

Several vendors will be on hand to sell arts and crafts and food. Booth rental is $50 for arts and crafts and $100 for a food truck.

Sponsorships are available for purchase from $125 up to $500. Those who sponsor are allowed to distribute flyers and giveaways to Plant City residents who drop by.

The Plant City Bike Fest will be taking place on October 14 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Admission is free. Contact Laura Leslie at 813-754-3707 to become a sponsor or vendor, or for more information.
