VISIT FLORIDA makes major marketing announcements at recent conference

During the closing session of VISIT FLORIDA’s annual marketing retreat in Orlando, Florida last week, the official tourism marketing corporation for the state of Florida announced the selection of SapientNitro as its agency of recent and the retention of Miles Media Group as part of the marketing team.

According to Chris Thompson, President and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA, the organization has been actively involved over the past several years in increasing their advertising efforts and the ROI of their marketing campaigns. They have used digital technology as well as printing services to create flyers and brochures that highlight the numerous attractions, hotels, resorts and beaches Florida offers for tourists. Thompson added that VISIT FLORIDA has recently completed a strategic plan for the next four years that is designed to make the state the top travel destination in the world. Part of this plan requires the organization to establish partnerships with businesses and corporations that will have innovative approaches to marketing tourism in the state, using both print and digital media.

Will Seccombe, Chief Marketing Officer for VISIT FLORIDA, sees SapientNitro as having the ability to help the organization meet its strategic goals. Working out of their Miami office, with offices around the world in key Florida target markets, SapientNitro will be able to provide a great deal of insight into how to reach consumers and attract them to visit the state.
