Orlando chamber will celebrate its 100th anniversary this September

The Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce is holding the “Black Tie Gala” to celebrate its 100th birthday. It will also be a fund raising event for the Entrepreneurs Academy.

The gala will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment and speeches from Orlando mayor, Buddy Dyer and Tico Perez, the chairman of the 100 year celebration. It will be a great networking event for members and will remind many of them just what the chamber stands for.

The Entrepreneurs Academy is a two day workshop for budding entrepreneurs. It features talks from and interaction with at least 40 business experts. Those who sign up for the Academy will receive information on business resources, are taught how to make a personalized business plan and have the opportunity to connect with their business peers. They also receive a variety of informative materials and meals are included. The next Academy is coming up this September.

The gala and the Entrepreneurs Academy will likely attract chamber members from all over the Orlando region, including those from nearby Ocoee. Local printing companies have probably been asked to help provide any informative materials that will be handed out or put on display.

The “Black Tie Gala” will take place at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport on September 21. The next Entrepreneurs Academy will take place at Rollins College in Winter Park on September 25-26. Fees are $495 or $195 for chamber members.
