Early April festival to come to local charities’ aid

March 20, 2013 by

The Festival Among the Lakes is taking place in Windermere in just a couple of weeks.

The festival is presented by the Rotary Club of Windermere and other local organizations such as the Town of Windermere. Proceeds from the event will help raise funds for various local charities, including Habitat for Humanity and the Edgewood Children’s Ranch.

Guests will be able to enjoy music from groups such as the Down Brothers, food trucks, a poker tournament, carnival rides, a wakeboard competition on Lake Down, martial arts demonstrations, dance performances, and an art exhibit from local schools. In addition, a boat show will feature some of the newest crafts and boating accessories. There is likely to be something that will appeal to each member of the family.

Sponsorships are available and will likely be purchased by local businesses from places such as nearby Ocoee. They will no doubt be recognized at the event with items such as banners and signs provided by local print companies. Sponsors may also want to work with those firms to design and create a flyer or booklet to advertise their participation in the festival. They can then let their current customers know about the event, which will probably result in more people visiting the festival and helping to raise more money for worthwhile local charities.

The Festival Among the Pines will take place at Windermere Pines from April 5 – 7. For more information please visit the Rotary Club of Windermere’s website.
