Upcoming event matches students with potential employers

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce is holding its 3rd annual Miami’s Got Tech event this February. It is presented by the Technology and Bioscience Committee.

The aim of this event is to match students in with those South Florida companies in the technology sector who may be able to provide them with jobs once they graduate. It is also an opportunity for those students to showcase products they have been working on. The creator or creators of the product that is seen as the best will be awarded the Student Innovation Award.

The evening will start off with welcome remarks from Marc Sarnoff, the City of Miami Commissioner. It will no doubt be followed by much networking while those in attendance visit the various showcases.

A lot of business cards will likely be exchanged during this event and many who are planning to attend will be checking to see that their business card supply is sufficient and that all of their current information is correct. If not, many attending from Miami, North Miami Beach and other nearby locations will be contacting their favorite printing company to replenish their supply.

Miami’s Got Tech is taking place at Venture Hive on February 6 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. Tickets are $25 in advance for Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce members and $35 for non-members; tickets purchased at the door are $50.
