Plan to attend the Vision3 Summit on Marco Island

February 1, 2012 by

The 2012 Vision 3 Summit will take place from February 19-22 at the Marco Island Marriott. The conference is a presentation of the National Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies (NPES), the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) and Printing Industries of America. Tickets are $1095 for members of the three organizations and $1195 for non-members.

This is a “leadership conference for graphics communications executives.” Managers from printing companies around the United States and from nearby communities such as Naples should definitely try to attend this event. Discussion will cover such topics as industry trends, technology updates, financial decision, staffing, how social media and print can work concurrently, best business practices, emerging markets and the integration of the new technology. The event will also feature several networking receptions, a black-tie dinner on February 21 and a golf outing on the afternoon of February 22.

Featured speakers will include U.S. Speaker of the House John Boehner who will discuss the view from Washington, Scott McCain who will talk about customer experience, Dr. Jeffrey Rosenweig who will discuss the global economy and Dr. Samir Husni who will reveal new media age secrets. There will also be the chance to take part in panel discussions, some of which will be “Transforming your business for print profitability” led by Chris Bondy, “Power of print” led by Michael Makin and “Why print is sustainable” led by Gary Jones.

The idea of a paperless society in the future is one that is constantly being discussed. However, the demise of printing is much overrated. Today print and technology work together more or less seamlessly and print will be with us for much longer than some argue.
